2026 Boat Slip Lottery
Applications are available online (see attached PDF file), at the Parks & Rec office and in the foyer of the Lansing Town Hall.
The following items MUST be contained in your application to be considered for the lottery. It is extremely important that the application be completed IN FULL and that ALL the requested documents are included. Information collected in previous years has been purged, so please ensure you are providing all the required documentation with your application.
Applications must be received by Friday, January 30th to be accepted for the lottery.
You may drop off your application at the Lansing Town Hall or mail them to us at: 29 Auburn Rd, Lansing NY 14882 ATTN: Parks and Recreation Department. Checks should be made payable to "Lansing Recreation".
Please provide in an envelope:
- Signed and completed berthing permit application.
Length and width of boat are extremely important, and both MUST be indicated exactly. The width of the boat needs to be stated as it is at the widest point – not necessarily the beam width. Please, take the time to measure your boat. We are NOT responsible for placing boats that have been given inaccurate measurements; changing boat slips later may not be an option. Be sure to indicate your first three choices of slips on the application.
- Copy of current boat registration- this registration must be currently in effect and must be the same name and address as the person applying for a berthing permit.
- Certificate of liability insurance ($300,000 minimum)
- Proof of Residency- Town of Lansing residents must include proof of residency to qualify for resident rates (if current boat registration does not clearly show a Town of Lansing Address). PO Box addresses must also include street address.
- Payment-Check, money order or credit card will be accepted for the appropriate amount (See fee schedule enclosed) The first installment or full payment must be included in your envelope. (If you are using a credit card, please print the name, number, expiration date, and 3-digit v-code on the application form clearly. We accept VISA, MasterCard or Discover. Payments will not be processed until after the February 4th drawing. **Please be aware that there is a 3.08% convenience fee on all credit card transactions.**
- Your return address must be printed on the back of your envelope.
ALL ENTRIES WILL REMAIN SEALED UNTIL AFTER THE DRAWING HAS BEEN CONDUCTED.
IF ALL ITEMS INDICATED ABOVE ARE NOT INCLUDED, OR YOUR APPLICATION FORM IS NOT TOTALLY COMPLETED, YOUR APPLICATION WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED AND WILL BE RETURNED TO YOU.
Lottery Drawing:
The drawing will take place on Wednesday, February 4th at 6:00pm in the large courtroom located at the Lansing Town Hall (29 Auburn Road, Lansing NY 14882)

NOTE:
- Boats UNDER 20FT will NOT likely be placed in the large marina in order to maximize occupancy
- While slip numbers on the enclosed map are correct, we still encourage you to take the time to drive to the marina and look at the slip you are requesting.
