Morning Strength & Stretch

Specially designed exercise class for people 50 and older.

Mat Mondays: After a sufficient warm-up, participants will engage in about 45 minutes of strength training with 1- minute aerobic intervals. Then, class will participate in 5 to 10 minutes of gentle stretching. The music is paced so the aerobic portion of the workout is safe for people 50 and older; no sudden changes of direction or jumping of any kind will be taught. Then, class will participate in about 15 minutes of floor work, gentle stretching, breathing, and balance exercises

Combo Thursdays: After a sufficient warm-up, participants will engage in about 35 minutes of strength training activities using either light hand weights, elastic bands or their own body resistance. Your safety is always in mind, and modifications are always accepted.

Classes take place on Monday and Thursday mornings from 9:30-10:30 at the Lansing Community Center.

Instructor: Debbie Bosanko
